Position Summary
We’re looking for strategic and collaborative Career Services Graders to join our Delivery team. Reporting to the Director, Career Services, the part-time, non-exempt role will grade resume, LinkedIn, and Github materials for participants of the 2026-2027 AI program. We are looking for individuals who can efficiently and accurately grade job searching materials in accordance with Break Through Tech’s guidance and best practices. Ideal candidates will have experience reviewing job searching materials for undergraduate job seekers.
This is a part-time, remote position (10 hours per week starting July 16th, 2026 and ending
August 28th, 2026). Career Services Graders will be hired at a rate of $25/hr for up to a maximum of 10 hours per week. U.S. Work Authorization is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties of this role are grouped into categories, with the approximate percentage of time spent on each category indicated below
Review and Evaluation of Job Search Materials (60%)
- Read and assess undergraduate fellows’ resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and GitHub profiles using established rubrics and evaluation criteria.
- Provide constructive written feedback, assign scores accurately, and record evaluations in Canvas or other designated grading platforms.
- Maintain organization of grading assignments, adhere to deadlines, ensure confidentiality of participant information, and communicate professionally with program staff as needed.
- Knowledge of resume, LinkedIn, and GitHub best practices for undergraduate job seekers
- Ability to evaluate job search materials consistently using standardized rubrics
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive participant information appropriately
- Proficiency with Canvas or similar online grading and learning management systems
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with career readiness, internship, or early-career recruiting processes preferred
- Ability to review materials efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Personal computer and stable internet connection
- Comfortable with Canvas or other grading platforms
- Strong organizational skills and ability to adhere to deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience in undergraduate career services or career coaching
- Experience in reviewing undergraduate job search materials
This role is designated as remote; however, candidates must be located in the United States.
Compensation and Hours
- Pay rate: $25 per hour
- The position is expected to require up to 10 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits.
- These roles are open to any eligible candidates across the US.
